### Dissecting the Public Health Discourse in the Post-Pandemic Era

In May 2023, over the course of three days, we conducted an analysis of emotional responses to **COVID-19, Monkeypox, influenza,** and the **World Health Organization (WHO)** on Twitter, examining **sentiment-driven hashtags** across multiple countries. Our dataset, which we scraped from Twitter, covered tweets from November 2022 to February 2023, allowing us to investigate shifts in public perception over time.

Using **social media sentiment analysis** techniques, we identified key emotional trends—ranging from fear and frustration to relief and optimism. These variations suggest a complex interaction between **public perception** and **government responses**, particularly in sectors such as hospitality, which were heavily impacted by pandemic-related restrictions. Understanding public opinion on pandemic policies provides insight into how different nations responded to **health crises** and the evolving **global health discourse**.

Our findings are available in an interactive Streamlit application, where users can explore the data and gain insights into **global sentiment trends** during this critical period.
