Categorizing 15,000 JavaScript components in NEAR BOS. Inconsistent code and noisy tags made the first classifiers unreliable. Staged compression and human selection made the collection searchable.
NEAR Social Recommender
A recommender for NEAR's decentralised social graph. Embeddings and second-degree connections made profiles easier to find; sparse network structure set the limit on what the system could recommend.
Twitter on Health
A project analysing disease-related posts on Twitter. Sentiment classifications are compared across topics and countries.
APTOS Retinopathy Detection
A Kaggle experiment classifying retinal images into five grades of diabetic retinopathy. DenseNet and mixup handle a dataset with uneven image quality; quadratic weighted kappa measures agreement with the labels.
Blockchain Approach to Medical Data Ownership
BioDataHero was a prototype for selling access to medical data. The later Sicherlich project moved toward keeping the record in the patient’s own vault.
Classifying Gene Mutations
Classifying gene mutations from medical literature in a Kaggle challenge. TF-IDF, word embeddings, and several classifiers were tested. The word clouds did not help with interpreting the articles.

An interactive kiosk built for a LIDL Christmas campaign: meet a virtual Santa, receive chocolate. The archived concept later expanded into proposals for public information and dispensing stations.
